Tone it Up for the New Year!

Happy New Year, everyone! It’s still the beginning of the new year and not too late to make your New Year’s resolutions. As you continue planning out your changes for the new year, I want you to consider the resolution of living a healthier lifestyle. This just so happens to be one of the most common New Year’s Resolutions that people create and do not finish by the time the year is over. Nonetheless, it is still one of the most important changes you can make in your life. Allow me to inspire you a little and provide you with a way to stay motivated.

Living a healthy lifestyle can leave you with many positive lasting effects not just physically but mentally as well. My personal start to a healthy lifestyle happened a few years ago while I was in college and I would actively look for ways to keep myself enticed with working out and eating healthy. Let’s face it working out can sometimes be kind of boring. I tried and tried to continue living a healthy lifestyle. However, naturally I didn’t push myself enough and this forced me to fail at my resolution multiple times, but we’re all only human right? Eventually, I pushed myself to continue with the same boring routine that didn’t really get me anywhere until I discovered a little something called Tone It Up.

Tone It Up is wonderful fitness community led by two young women, better known as your trainers, Karena and Katrina. Their goal through Tone It Up is to make you feel energized, confident, beautiful, and healthy. The inspiring messages and motivation they provide to each one of their members makes you want to work out and live more healthily. This is more than a weight loss program and getting your body ready for summer, it’s about achieving a healthy mind as much as a healthy body.

There are multiple ways to be a part of the Tone It Up community, whether paid or unpaid. I personally started by using the free printables they have for workouts on, whether it’s a 20 Minute HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) routine, ab training, arms, legs, you name it they have it! There are even resources to help you train for your first marathon. These are routines that you can do in the comfort of your own home, at your pace, and still be provided motivation to take it to the next level.

Tone It Up also provides a nutrition plan that contains all sorts of recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts, smoothies; you can even break it down further by whether you are trying to tone up, slim down, or maintain your body. The nutrition plan has a one-time fee, but after you purchase it you can get access to new meal additions and workouts for a lifetime. Purchasing the plan was one of the best investments of my journey. There are a lot of different options for food and I really like that they provide a grocery list, which I reuse each time I go to the store depending on what my meals for the week are going to be. Having the nutrition plan really is a great resource, because it’s not a typical diet plan where you eat the same thing for months. There are endless options for months whether you are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and more.
